La légende veut que le coquelicot ait pris sa couleur rouge sur les champs de bataille , j'ai en fait un pastel pour adoucir la légende .

The legend wants that the poppy took his red color on the battlefields, I have in fact a pastel to soften the legend.
Sorry for the bad translation :(

This image contains so much more than what a standard photo holds.
This photograph represents the heartache and loneliness war can bring, while reinforcing a sense of peace and stillness once the destruction has settled.
Poppies have to be one of my favourite flowers; alongside roses, and I think this breathtaking image has captured so much in such a simple shot.
The airy colours and brightness of the photograph represents a glipse of hope in an almost dreamlike atmosphere. It's so refreshing to see shots like this. The impact this image brings is amazing.
When I think of beauty, I think of this.
Congratulations on such a beautiful shot. I'm so jealous.

If I say beautiful 100 times does that count?

The decision to soften the colour of a flower celebrated (for the saddest of reasons) for its redness is a bold one. It reminds us the poppy is a delicate, fragile flower yet a resilient one, the first to reappear on land ravaged for years by war.

The use of a shallow depth of field and the blown highlights fading into the bokeh of the background enhance the sense of hard won peace. The off-centre composition in the square frme adds just enough tension to keep the image from slipping into 'chocolate-box' territory but doesn't spoil the overwhelmingly tranquil feel.

Stunning.

Il est très beau ton coquelicot !
En effet, durant la guerre 14-18 un soldat canadien 'John McCray a composé un célèbre poème sur les coquelicots...
Merci pour ce rappel,Pascale.
